Neutral Bath with Earthy colors in Philadelphia

Project Description

Pale pink laminate was replaced with warm Maple and black and terracotta tiles trade in for vein cut travertine in this row home in Philadelphia, right over the bridge from the University of Pennsylvania. A large double Jacuzzi tub took up most of the space, and left a small  standing shower to its side. dRemodeling expanded the walk in shower and left room for a walk in closet. The closet doors are mirror faced and slide effortlessly on newly installed hardware. Vein cut travertine lines the floor and walls creating a seamless look. A frameless glass shower enclosure enhances the free flowing space and widens it visually. A double vanity in subtle wood tones play off the warm tones of the travertine. A really special feature of the vanity is its poured concrete top with integrated sinks. The finish mimics what one would see in the bottom of an ocean floor with sand, froth, and bits of shell swirling round. The homeowner even has two seashells specially placed near the faucets as reminders of vacations past.
